‘Pawn Stars’ figure ‘Chumlee’ jailed in Vegas on weapon, drug charges

I wonder how long before this show is pulled off the air due to the actions of 1 person.

I had given him the benefit of the doubt and thought he was smarter than his on screen persona. I figured the producer had dumbed him down as the Capt suggests, for comic relief.

Apparently not. Ole Chum is in for a rough ride.

I wonder if it has an impact on the store's business. I bet a good deal of their business is people who have seen the show. After hearing about this I bet some families will avoid the place. If the show stops it would slow down of coirse.

Not a bad show, but on the wrong channel. It belonged on The Travel Channel or whatever channel has that Sturgis Show. Is The Nashville Network still a thing?

That show was one of them that made me take note that The History Channel was getting dumbed down while their smarter programming was getting shifted to H2.

I can't speculate on the drugs or the sexual assault charges, but since he "works" at a pawn shop, I'm guessing the guns were ones he brought home to check out/show off without being registered in his name. Or he could be on probation for something else we don't know about, and possessing the guns violated that.

Either way, Chum's got the cash to hire a good lawyer. And if the public is mad enough to make a big deal of it, the History Channel will likely drop him from the show.

Without having access it Ancient Aliens, how will I know when they show up at my door?

I love American Pickers...although I cringe at how clueless they are when it comes to old guitars. My wife finds it funny that I give accurate appraisals on instruments as we watch.. .been at the GAS game too long I reckon!

I've mentioned it here before, there is a movement amongst media and providers to dumb down the population. Move the charmless* that broadcast intelligent content to premium-level packages and reinvent the current "smart" channels to cater to dummies. I remember when A&E was a decent station, and The Discovery Channel also.

Just attach the Borg implants already.

Unfortunately I'm sure the show/store will suffer due to the actions of one person, but that's life if they play it correctly and may be ralley around him like any good family and help him it may be a bonus to them. I hope to be honest that they choose to help him and stick together as a family, we all have made mistakes in our life and all deserve a second chance.

I don't think they will cancel the show because of this, but I have no idea how the TV industry works. However, I have a Buddy that does. Mind if I get him down here to have a look?
