Of all the gold basses, Randy Meisner's old Shoreline Gold Precision is my favorite.

I like gold basses too. I bought a Fernandes Jazz copy(several tears ago) with the intent to strip the paint, fill the pick guard screw holes, and paint it metallic gold. I did it and it didn't turn out too bad but the paint never completely hardened and bad bad things happened to it. It looked pretty killer for a short time....

Yup.

I've often thought about buying a white bass and painting it gold.

Love gold, and this Bluesman P is the best P I've ever owned. Sub 8lbs, dark rosewood, perfect neck. It may be a bass I keep for a very long time.
