Really enjoying watching your build! Can't wait til the next episode...
I truly have no excuse not start my first build now; your use of just a handful of tools is impressive and inspiring!
I have to ask, did I miss something or is episode 16 not posted?
Thanks again and great work!
Really interesting that you use hand tools and are really good at it. What really impresses me is how you use a hand plane to level everything. I am interested to see how you are slotting your fretboard and installing the frets.
Great Thread!
What is the silver piece of metal(?) you use to gauge straightness? Is it some sort of luthier's tool or just a billet of aluminum or something?
Keep it up! Can't wait for the next episode!
Thank you. That is what I meant. What is it?I think he means the alloy box section bar?
I can't believe you route the pickup cavities without a template. Wow! Good job!
Think about making some tests on pieces of wood till you feel confident to apply into your bass.I'm impressed with how neat your work is without having all the expensive tools. You make me want to try routing my fretless myself to put in an MM style pup at the bridge...... but I know I'd screw it up.
