NBD! Ibanez Talman TMB30 30"short scale bass!

There are a couple tmb 100's available with maple necks: one is a flat mustard yellow and I think the other one is mint green
I’d rather switch per same model because I have no idea if they are all identical between TMB30, TMB100 & TMB600. I’m not gonna buy a TMB2000

-There will definitely be no compatible models for a TMB30.
Short scale to long scale replacements nearly always require moving of the bridge and rarely have the same neck pocket anyway. For Fender guitars and basses there are some specific scale-modifying aftermarket necks though. Mostly short scale necks that are already compensated for the regular Fender bass distance between neck heel and bridge. Even more tangentially, I had a 35" neck made for my Jazz bass.

-100 and 200 will almost certainly be compatible.

-100/200 to 600 is likely as all 3 models have the same number of frets and taper but you'd want to take a tracing of the neck heel. If possible, Find a shop that would be willing to take the necks off and dry fit them. If you were willing to buy 2 instruments I bet you could find a shop that would try. Alternatively, GC and Sweetwater have a good return policy...

-I don't know much of anything about the 2000. However, for 1600 bucks I 'd want something better than "Ibanez custom 2 band eq" with those Nordys.

So my TMB30 finally showed up. Love it.... except the worst neck dive I have seen yet...I see some posts of people looking to replace them. If you ended up replacing them what did you go with? Are you happy with the change?

I think they were 1/2", but possibly 5/8". I believe they were chrome clover. I've since sold the bass, which was silly but it went to a good home. He has all the paper work. Perhaps he'll chime in. I was happy with them. I had a little neck dive before, but started parting it out right away, so not much before play time. Good luck, DM

OK... so I owe some amends to this bass. I own a bunch of shorties these days and have bad mouthed this one a bit, as I took it to one gig and it fell short (pun intended) to others I was using. I may not have given it enough of a chance. This weekend I brought it to an outdoor gig where I played on a float at a St. Patricks Day parade - and it delivered bigtime. I have Geezer pickups in mine, so there's that... but yeah. I've decide that this bass is staying in my arsenal.

...and following TB rules, it did really happen:
