Double Bass Problem with a Luthier (Roland/Emanuel Wilfer content)

It's not actually a democracy. It is a forum in which registered users, supporting or not, are free to post and participate within the rules. I am watching this thread carefully and we are sensitive to discussions that may cause reputational scrutiny of professionals in our fairly tight knit community. For now I will wait to see if I receive the tracking number of my double bass, the transport company is supposed to call me soon, the person in charge of my transport in Wilfer's company did not tell me when, but I am waiting a little while, for as long as I wish That this thread is kept open, in the moment I know that my instrument is already coming for Costa Rica, or better yet, that it has already arrived in Costa Rica and if the moderators want to close it, I will agree, but for now I want to continue reporting on what happens.

For now I hope that all the people who read this thread stop assuming and making accusations, or pointing, (I also think that waiting almost 3 years is too long and that is not right, I did everything, I have not done anything wrong, all I have done is wait and wait) but the only thing I want for all is the end of this problem in the most friendly way possible, I have been waiting a long time and all this time I have been without money to buy another instrument, without instrument, without motivation, unable to sleep well, with anxiety and I really feel very depressed and psychologically exhausted... and now thanks to Tom I see a little light at the end of the road, I hope that everything will be solved soon, while I just want that this thread is still open to keep me informed about what happens whit all this situation.

I think people, such as myself, are actually siding with you stating that they’re appalled it has taken the maker three years to deliver to you an instrument. You’re welcome, by the way, for when I reached out to Roland to start a dialogue and push him to contact you. I think the readers of this thread are going to want to know exactly why it took the maker three years to deliver to you a double bass. No one is blaming you here - perhaps this is an English language issue.
 
Excuse me if I bothered you with something I said, that was not my intention, thanks for contacting Wilfer and talking to him about this topic, since he just ignored me, and the times he wrote me saying he was going to send me the bass were lies.

I think that this time it is true that they are going to send me the double bass, if it is not true I will publish a series of images showing dates and all the time that they have not answered me and all the times they have told me that they are going to send the instrument and it wasn't true, but I really think that this is not going to be necessary this time, I think that this time it is true that they are going to send it to me.

for now I will continue waiting for the transport company call me

hello everyone,

Probably on the 22nd of this month they will send me the bass, the transport company is surely waiting for the payment of the shipment by Wilfer, as we agreed so from the beginning.

I am happy that after these almost 3 years of waiting maybe this will end

I will be updating this information.


Or maybe I spoke too fast, it seems as if Wilfer didn't want to answer the transport manager now either...

And the manager since Monday is trying to contact him...

I am so used to him doing this to me that it no longer seems strange to me, shipments have increased due to the coronavirus, in our treatment Wilfer said that shipping to my nearest airport was included in the price, it seems as if he did not I would like to pay for the shipment when he was the one who offered it, also this would be the least he could do by making me wait almost 3 years, 3 years without the money and without the bass, he would not be in this situation if he had shipped to me the instrument before and wouldn't have made so many excuses.

I will wait to see if the manager talks to him... I really hope I am wrong about all this, but I doubt that Wilfer will tell another excuse to me and the transport person that he is in Tokyo, in Shanghai, in Dubai, in Los Angeles, or in Thailand, and for that trips he can't send The bass, I doubt if he says that because of this coronavirus situation and a few people can travel, this was always the biggest excuse for not answering me or giving me an excuse why he hadn't sent the bass

I'll wait and keep updating this post.

The problem experienced by the OP (bass not delivered, lack of communication) seems to be shared by (some) other customers.
Here is the amazon.de page about the shop selling the Wilfer instruments: although many customers say they are fully satisfied, a few of them complain about delay of delivery and lack of communication.

Yes, since I don't want anyone to use it to send me emails, and a long time ago I said it was Wilfer who had me in this problem, that's why

ps: That Wilfer email is information that anyone can have, since it is on his page, my email is not from a company, I am an individual, I am not a company that sells things, so my personal email is not on Internet and i don't even want it to be on the internet and that's why I cross it off.

Seeing so many people annoyed because I do not say who I am, if this is not solved soon I will say who I am along with a lot of emails and messages from Wilfer saying excuses through the years saying that soon I was going to send the bass, the only thing that I will cross out is my email address because it is private, but my name will come out, they could even search me on Facebook ...

Yes, for a while now I was no longer happy about new information, because the only thing that would really make me happy would be to know that the bass is coming and even more so to be able to have it in my hands and play it, this time like many others I had hope, I still do not lose the hope that they send it to me, but as I said in some messages back I feel that I already lost the money... so many time, so many years, thinking about my future, the opportunities I have missed, Even so the bass will arrive tomorrow, I have already wasted valuable time of my life in this, time that will not return, days and nights thinking about this, and many tears, even so I continue waiting for all this to end, I still hope that this week everything can be solved and they send it to me the bass.

Thank you very much for giving me your help piggy, and to all those who have helped me, I honestly feel very bad that I cannot do more on my own, this makes me feel ashamed, but I honestly never thought I was going to go through such a situation, less with someone of such renown, I never thought that I would need more money than I paid to sue someone and be able to have my bass, the money I paid to buy the bass came from a lot of savings and effort

sorry if something is not understood well, my english is not good at all and things can be misinterpreted

On Monday or Tuesday I will update this with new information about it.

Honestly, I feel very bad for you. Every time I read this it makes me angry and also upset. Being a student, having limited money, and placing your trust in someone and having them take advantage really makes my stomach turn. I have reached out to the luthier to complain.
