Hi there, been browsing the many cool Ibanez basses here and thought I'd share mine with you.

The original p/ups are blown so replaced with Fender Original P-Bass and also have recently installed a rewound original 72 J-Bass.
Scratch plate is modified P-Bass and gave this new sunbusrt paintjob.
Strung with DR Marcus Miller signature stainless.
This was thrwo away bass and i've done a lot to get it to the state it is in now. Is an awesome backup spally 4 string funk machine.
Bought for sentimental reasons as my first bass was a natural ASH one of these (this is ASH too) and I've had a but 3-4 of these over the years.
I also used to own a nice natural Silver Series J-Bass! Stupid me - sold it as I thought it was too heavy!!!

A couple of shots of my Ibanez BTB. Sold my other basses a few weeks after i got it because I knew i would never need another bass. I can see myself owning this one and only bass for another 40+ years, haha ;)

I'll be alright if I sit down for a few minutes !!!

For only $240 I am lovin' it. I cut back on the light and used the macro setting on the camera to try to get the wood grain to pop out. This thing is like neon-blood-clot-red.

Number please!

Are those DR coated strings? :D

as Eaglemoon replied to the same question on the "show your basses part 8 thread":

I can tell you what they are. They're Dean Markley Alchemy Randy Jackson strings. You can get them here

and I'll say they're pretty nice. I'm used to the DR coated ones, and these are definately different! I'm really loving having an Ibanez!

Hey all you Ibanez owners.... I picked up an early 90's SR800. The battery is in the main electronics area...there is no "battery" compartment. It has the duel Bartolini pups at the neck but a Carvin pup at the bridge. The pups do not generate the kind of power I would expect from active pickups. Yes, I put a new battery in. My non-active Epiphone is much louder. I do like the tone however.

Could it be wired wrong? Could the Carving PUP not be very good? What are some things I should look for? Test for?
