Thanks Donny! One warning for anyone using connectors with a screw terminal: Do not solder stranded wire ends before inserting them. It may seem like a good idea, but it will work it's way loose.

Had our first meet and greet for the band I was invited to join. Currently, a 4 piece but looking for a female to add keys and vocal range. This will be a stretch for me but if you don’t push, you don’t grow. The goal is a 1 hour set, building 3 songs at a time.

I don't know about Fender guitars, but they have had a couple of similar fails on recent basses, either debatable "designers", poor 'quality control' or trying to use overstocks of past parts to "work" with a new bass. (or all three)
