Trace Elliot ELF

I know this thread spessifically says ELF, and while I do understand it's certain appeal to some people, I am much more interested in the Transit B preamp pedal.

I have what I need amplification wise at the moment though, and am more than satisfied, a Trace Elliot GP75SM 130W 15" combo driving a 50W all tube amp Dynacord Bass King through the tuner output, likewise with an additional 15" cab connected.

Should anything happen, God forbid it, to my Trace beyond repair I would seriously consider acquiring the Transit B pedal though and run it though some sort of decent poweramp and cabinet or simply through my active PA speaker.

Love the sound of Trace Elliot.

They probably have incremental plans for something in that range
If the new products hold they're
reputation .

1. Remember (at least with the old stuff) - 200 TE watts = 400 watts for most companies
2. Lots of large Class D heads out there - this is the first sub micro head out there.

Maybe Tom Bowlus can confirm on the "Trace watts" as the standard.

There are vast differences between the old Trace output sections of yore and the current class-D technology, but I will say that the ELF seems to certainly deliver as promised, in terms of output.

@Fred from Peavey fantastic looking products! I think the ELF is the beginning of the future, I'm so glad Peavey picked up the fantastic TE tradition and legacy. Pairing the ELF with Faital speakers was genius. A few questions/semi-wish list items.

Is there a ballpark date for the amp and cabinets to hit the streets yet?
How much are the cabs? Just want to mention the 17 pounds for your 110 cabs is incredible, if they perform as promised.
Do you have a ballpark on the cost of the two cabinets?

Wishlist: Higher powered ELF, at least 400-800. ELF200 combo (integrating the ELF into the 2x8 cab) with the possibility to add a second 2x8. Or an ELF200 combo with the 110 cab, and room for second TE cab.

Thanks and best of luck with this new line of incredible products!

I am waiting for their competitively priced 4 ohm 408 cabinet in a small package.

While I love the idea, the cost factor and having to carry 3 items (head, 2 cabs) to get to full power of this 200 watt head defeats the purpose.

I'm more interested in the 1x 10" mainly cause of the feather light weight. I wish they had put a concentric HF driver though, since a roll off at 4 KHz is a bit low to me. Maybe I could just replace the driver? Any suggestion?
