Tube Preamp/DI Sound Samples — Noble, Oracle, P-15, Super Stack, REDDI, Tonecraft, Jule...

Looks like I can fit the Shure, Stomp and Khan on a Pedaltrain Metro 16. The DC7 will fit underneath. A Templeboard Solo 18 works as well but is $100 more.
Check out the Warwick Rockboard Tres 3.0 too. I have a 2.1 and a 3.1. They are really nice boards and are well priced. You'll probably need to remove the bracing bracket to fit the DC7 under it. It doesn't affect the stability in the least and removes a small amount of weight. I could probably have squeezed the DC7 under my 3.1 but it would have been very tight. I'd rather make it easier to change things around when I need to.

The 3.0 is about 1.5" larger in each dimension than the Metro 16. Very close in size to the Templeboard Solo 18.

I can confirm DC7 fits underneath the Rockboard 3.0 :)

Well, I have a khan, so I’m not surprised to hear how much people like it. I love mine. But I am a little surprised to hear that you like it better than the noble? I assumed they would be very similar sounding? But the noble has bass and treble knobs, as well as being a pedal power supply? Is it just the cost? If they both cost the same, would you still choose the khan? I’ve never heard a noble in person, so I have no idea how they compare. Just curious.

I would choose the Khan regardless of price.
All my thoughts here.

My double SansAmp pedalboard got me thinking… have any of you vacuum tube preamp/DI guys ever done something similar? Like put two tube preamps on your board and use two channels on your mixing desk? Might be pretty cool… or just overkill. I’d freak out if I saw someone with two Nobles or two Khans on their board lol… that would just look insane. I figure if someone has tried it it would be on Talkbass though.
