U.S. Women's National Soccer Team

May I step in being English...

I think England - USA will be a close game, I can see it going to extra time. England have been great going forward but our centre backs were a little shaky the last game. I will be surprised if USA don't score at least once against us. My wife is American so very much looking forward to it seeing as she rubs it in when you guys cream the Olympics!
You may, I'm British by the way

The Dutch are great on set pieces. Two goals on headers on free kicks.
They always are, in part because they are usually the tallest team in the tournament.

They actually looked good all-around, except for a few careless backline errors and missed finishes. They look to give Germany (assuming they beat Sweden) all they can handle.

That said, I thought the U.S. restored its aura of invincibility yesterday.

I’ll bet there are a number of Americans who have no clue where the Netherlands is, nor that it’s flat. And a lot of us don’t quite know what snooker is, either.

My country is sometimes a humorless one. But don’t worry, @Biffa. I got it.

Oh, well, a quick heads up then, the people of the Netherlands founded New York and Pool is derided from Snooker. Every day is a school day

The Dutch also gave us a much needed 5 million guilder loan in 1782 worth billions today. This was after Yorktown so the fighting was over, but before the Treaty of Paris was signed, sealed and delivered.

ETA - back on topic

USA over England
Netherlands over Sweden

USA over Netherlands
England over Sweden

That’s right.

The Carthaginians beat them on a soggy pitch during the World Cup qualifier for 206 BC. Penalty kicks. The Romans were PISSED.
Reminds me of that classic men's final between Germany and Greece:

As I recall, France and England both had pretty good sides that year. The USMNT didn't qualify.
