What's your rig of choice for this weekend? Part 2.

BGs tribute. All my cheapest basses as they had to sit in the car all day while doing other things. Squier VMP5 and fretless, APII precise bass.

For my "acoustic band," I have really been loving the tone, accuracy, and performance of my MAS-45 Tower. It's the perfect cab for this band (in addition to me on upright/ABG, we have acoustic guitar, violin, un-mic'd drums, and four vocals), especially with the PJB Ear Box. The Focus 2R never disappoints, either.

78 P bass > pedals > borrowed Rumble Stage 800 (courtesy of the bass player in another local band). I’m a little wary of these Rumble amps because of the huge low mid push, but this one ended up sounding pretty good with a little fiddling. The owner was very chill and more than happy to let me tweak to my heart’s content. He said he really enjoyed hearing it from out in the room. I did use my THDI for most of not all of the set, though.

This was a 60th bday party in a smallish indoor space with high ceilings. The rumble was more than enough.
