Where do you eat after shows??

I’ve done about every late night spot in Denver for post 2am food. One of my favorite now defunct places was called Mary Jane’s Pizza. They were open from 11pm to 4:20am and hung signed pizza boxes from all of the bands and entertainers that made it a regular haunt.

What is the go to post-gig food spot in your neck of the woods?
That sounds like my type of place !!!!!

If there's a food truck nearby, that's my first choice. I'm not too picky on what I get; hot dogs, tacos, Thai food, dirty fries, as long as it's greasy, salty and has some protein I'll probably eat it.

If the venue I'm at serves food, and it doesn't look awful, sometimes I'll grab a bite there. Same standards apply.

Worst case scenario, I'll grab a cheeseburger from the drive through on the way home.

If in NYC, the old 21 Club was the place. But in London, The American Bar at the Savoy, where I can sometimes catch up with Bertie Wooster and his mates from the Drones Club.

Back in my college days and then again when I was touring in the early 70's, we'd often end up at a Denny's because just about every town had one and they were one of the few places that were open that late. Touring we'd typically play 2-weeks of 5-night a week gigs, usually getting off at 1 AM. If a restaurant was adjacent to the club sometimes it would be open that late but not always. And there was always a Denny's around.

With one group, when I lived in Virginia (2005-2015), we would practice at the keyboardist's house in a downstairs room that had back patio access (was on a hill) because it was a nice place and we could leave our amps there. We would often practice until ~11 o'clock on Tuesdays. Some of the group lived to the north and some to the south of his house. At the intersection where the road met Hwy 220 was an IHOP restaurant. So we'd all stop there, eat, and shoot the breeze. When we started gigging we chose the name "The Tuesday Evening Pancake Club". IHOP never had a clue they were the source of our name and folks tended to remember it because it was so weird. Made perfect sense to us though.

I try not to eat after shows, but, if the urge is too strong, I'll go where whatever is open, and get a burger.

I've never been a regularly gigging musician so I can't answer that question. In the kind of revivalist mid 20th-century country music crowd I'm familiar with, gigs are so rare that I suspect that kind of after-hours eating doesn't happen. People are more likely to accept a meal at the place they are playing in because they aren't going to get paid anything else by the venue anyway.
