We had a local GTG the other day and we had four (4) S15-D's hooked up to 1000 watts of the Hartke LH1000. Talk about a wall of sound. Deep and clear. :)

next time stack all 4 of em and stand back 100 feet, then start walking around closer and farther, left and right, etc. Tell me how much the sound changes when you do that.

I think the 800RB run full-range with three S15's would be awesome! Better yet would be two S15's on the 300 watt amp and a S12X (rare) or S10X on the 100 watt amp.

That 2XS15-D + S10X concept sounds intriguing. I still have yet to experience the 800RB with both amps engaged. I don't own any 8 ohm cabs currently which is one of the reasons I'm starting to look into pair of S15-Ds. I like running the 800RB in either of my larger cabs but I'd like a smaller "full" rig for those gigs that involve stairs or other obstacles or those times when I just don't feel like lugging my tube head and 410+212. If my pair of 112s were 8 ohms apiece I'd probably be set but they're not and I suspect the S15-Ds would be a little more substantial all around so the 112s have gotta go. I know they show up at Daddy's and on TB periodically so I think I'll go that route and see what happens.

Did BagEnd make the cabs in the dead's wall of sound?

I would like to join this club.

Please pardon the extra cab on the rt, it is gone now.

I have hooked up all three to my walkabout and it is devastating. Cuts thru anything I do, outdoors too.

Glad to see there's a club for these great cabs. I picked up all of my rig used (sepearate sales) and it sounds great. It's a 2x10 and 1x18 through a Yamaha 2 channel amplifier and Acoustic B200H head.

Great cabs....

Just curious at this point, but take a look at my rig picture and spec's from my post here (#96).

When I bought my amps I was on a tight budget and I didn't mind that they come in under the power rating of the BE cabs. But down the road I may want to get something that can really wake the BE's up.

I've read that BE cabs can take much more than their specified power rating. I'm just wondering, from those with experience with BE cabs, how much they can really take consistently? Both cabs are rated at 400w.
