The official WAY HUGE club!

I hear you. I bought 2 pedals in January after about 6 months of economic uncertainty (and no pedals bought).

Sadly the 6 months prior to January I bought more gear than any other time in my life. The combination of not spending any money on being social (bars, concerts, dates w the mrs, etc) plus working from home and trying to avoid the news and social media left me browsing gear and gear classifieds. Definitely lost control for a while...calmed it back for a few weeks and then just recently exploded again and now have 4 stomps in the mail to me (and let's not talk about the pre-orders from last year that will continue to trickle in over the next few months - hopefully that will scratch the itch and get me to slow down)...the release of all these dope new pedals don't help.

Yeah, it's not that I necessarily didn't have the money, it's just that with the general uncertainty my wife and I agreed not to buy "toys". Rent, food, & bills....

The black looks much better IMO. I wonder if any other retailers will get exclusive colors, I could go for a sparkle purple version :D
It appears the blue one has some low-level sparkle (kind of like an MXR Bass Envelope). I'm going blue just to be different. I'm becoming more familiar with Dune (bought the 1st book), but the red bird is the House of Atreides flag. Never saw the David Lynch movie (apparently the Weirding Module is not in the book).

Looks like the Atreides preorders are sold out at most of the big retailers. That's a little surprising.
Why surprising? The minute I saw the Atreides it blew up my GAS like an Illudium PU-36 Space Modulator... I thought I was done with Way Huge, and here I am being Tripps'd up again.

+1 Black, or Sparkle Purple version!
Blue would've been okay, but not "that" blue, for me.
haha Now I want a Wierding Module version
+1

It's here,

Initial impressions are good.
Provides its own flavour, with plenty of flexibility to get tones I like.
Didn't care for the frequency control @ 100HZ, so I switched it to 500HZ.
Cutting this helps flatten out the mid-forward voice, and gets a more natural tone.
Wow. Didn't realize how small the "Smalls" line was. Those look smaller than MXR boxes!

Don't find a need to boost the low end? I always liked the small bump at 100hz

Nope.
To my ears, there's plenty of low-end, it's just overshadowed by the huge bump in the mids and treble.
Cutting at 500HZ, and using the curve to dial out some high-end brought things into balance.

This pedal, for me, was a quick lesson in addition by subtraction.

Finally got my amp fixed and was able to play the Swollen Pickle vs. Pharaoh Supreme at volume. The bass differences are much less pronounced at volume, which made choosing a winner difficult. Ultimately, I could get the Pharaoh to sound like the Pickle, but not necessarily vice versa. The Pharaoh is more tweakable with more usable tones due to the various clipping options, but the Pickle rewards patience. I think that the Pickle just barely wins at volume, mostly due to how well it works feeding a filter. It's a smoother tone with the filter and not as harsh as the Pharaoh. I'm still dumbfounded by this Pickle. It's amazing.

Random question/observation - what's the deal with all of the knobs breaking directly above the shaft? I've never had that problem, but it seems common among used Way Huge pedals. Are people pushing down with some force on the knob instead of just turning it by the edge?

That’s odd I don’t think I have ever seen one with a broken pot shaft but I have seen plenty with the knobs cracked which also seems weird to me. Possibly people that just throw their pedals in a bag loose or could also be the people that think because they are called stomp boxes that they must be stomped on like you are trying to put out a fire.

Perhaps my description was off. Exactly what I'm saying.
